Midnight starts the clock at 24:00 ("twenty-four-hundred-hours"). One second after Midnight and the clock flips over to 00:00:01. No, I don't think it makes any sense either, but that's what they tell me it is. Nine in the morning is 09:00 (or "oh-nine-hundred hours"). Noon is 12:00 ("twelve-hundred-hours"). Simple right? Here's where it gets confusing for some people. After Noon, the numbers don't start back at 1:00, they continue on to 13:00, 14:00, 15:00. One o'clock in the afternoon in Military Time is 13:00 ("thirteen-hundred-hours"). Nine in the evening is 21:00, etc., all the way back to 24:00 for Midnight. Got it?
So the above sample auction starts at 14:32 PST, which in normal time is 2:32 in the afternoon on the West Coast (but 5:32 on the East Coast). Try it a few times, you'll get the hang of it.
